On 1 April 2021, the 2021 National Population and Housing Census will begin across the country.
The census is organised at 10-year intervals. It is the most important statistical survey not only in Poland, but also in most countries in Europe and in the world.
2021 NPHS is mandatory and applies to all Poles living in Poland or temporarily residing abroad and foreigners who live in our country permanently or temporarily.
The primary method of the 2021 Census will be an online census, or self-census. We will carry it out on our own computers or mobile devices, completing the required data in an interactive form, available from 1 April this year on the spis.gov.pl website.
Those who are unable to census themselves using the online form will be censused using one of two other supplementary methods: a computer-assisted telephone interview or a face-to-face interview by a census agent. He/She will record the responses of the person being censused on a mobile device.
All data submitted during the census will be covered by statistical confidentiality – they will be duly and carefully protected and will not be disclosed to anyone.
More information about the 2021 National Population and Housing Census is available at census.gov.pl. In addition, from 15 March this year, it can be obtained by calling the census hotline – 22 279 99 99.
